Geography

A Vast Continent

Africa is the second largest of Earth’s seven continents, after Asia. It accounts for nearly one-quarter of the world’s land. In the northeast, Africa touches Asia in Egypt. In the northwest, Africa almost touches Europe in Morocco. 55 nations are found in Africa. They are home to some 1 billion people.

Africa is the only continent that truly straddles the equator, the imaginary line that encircles Earth around its middle.

African People

The people of Africa may be the most diverse of all the continents. Africa’s 1 billion people speak perhaps 2,000 or more languages. Thousands of distinct ethnic groups are found in Africa. Africa is the world’s second-largest and second-most populous continent, after Asia. At about 30.3 million km² including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of Earth’s total surface area and 20% of its land area. With 1.3 billion people as of 2018, it accounts for about 16% of the world’s human population. Africa’s average population is the youngest amongst all the continents; the median age in 2012 was 19.7, when the worldwide median age was 30.4. Despite a wide range of natural resources, the continent is the least wealthy per capita, possibly due in part to the legacies of European colonization in Africa. Despite this low concentration of wealth, recent economic expansion and the large and young population make Africa an important economic market in the broader global context.

History

The history of Africa has been systematically erased and what is known has been distorted. Our history of hundreds of thousands of years, actually millions of years, has been replaced by the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions’ version that make us only a footnote of world history.

Astronomy

Astronomy is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. Objects of interest include planets, moons, stars, nebulae, comets, and galaxies. Relevant phenomena include supernova explosions, gamma ray bursts, quasars, blazars, pulsars, and cosmic microwave background radiation and expansion of the universe. More generally, astronomy studies everything that originates outside Earth’s atmosphere. It uses mathematics, physics, and chemistry to explain their origin and evolution.

The information on astronomy is provided here to give a better understanding of the universe in contrast to the universe presented in the Bible. This will give a better appreciation tho the true ‘Creator’, if there is one, instead of the Gods of the Bible, Talmud and Koran. Keep this information in mind as you read this page. In astronomy distance is measured in light years. This should give you an idea of how expansive the universe as we know it is.

A light-year or lightyear (symbol: ly) is a unit of measurement of length, specifically the distance light travels in a vacuum in one year. While there is no authoritative decision on which year is used, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) recommends the Julian year.

A light-year is equal to:

  • 9,460,730,472,580.8 km (about 9.461 Pm)
  • 5,878,625,373,183.61 statute miles
  • about 63,240 astronomical units
  • about 0.3066 parsecs

Paleontology

Paleontologists study fossils, but the information they get from their discoveries goes far beyond the items they dig up. The fossils buried in Earth’s crust tell a story about our planet’s past. We can learn about Earth’s history ecologically, evolutionarily, and more. In order to do this, paleontology pulls from many other natural science disciplines, like biology, chemistry, and geology.

Paleontologists are involved in reconstructing Earth’s climate history, which tells us a lot about what types of climates we can expect in the future. They are also involved in collecting natural resources, like coal, oil, and natural gas. Not only are these fossils in their own right, but they are also buried deep underground so finding them requires some knowledge of the rocks and minerals that keep them hidden – perfect for a paleontologist!

Origin of Humanity

There is overwhelming evidence that supports the origin of humanity in Africa. Much research has been done in the field of human paleontology. This field concentrates on human origins. There have been excavations around the world to determine where humans first emerged, lived, and spread throughout the world. Much work was done in Europe and Mesopotamia following the belief that the first humans had to be Europeans and white following the Biblical story of Adam and Eve. Unfortunately, no Garden of Eden has been located anywhere in Mesopotamia or Iraq.

ANTHROPLOGY

The Great Human Migration Out Of Africa

Why did it take so long to leave Africa?

The extensive arid environments of northern Africa and the Middle East were a major barrier blocking movement out of Africa. Before they could spread out of Africa, our ancestors needed to develop physical and mental capabilities that would enable them to survive in these harsh environments where food and fresh water were highly seasonal resources.
